The house itself consists of several separate buildings set around a private garden and linked by wooden verandahs and decks. These also lead to the private swimming pool that is set into the deck at the same level. The house has a large air-conditioned master bedroom with a teak, king sized bed, en-suite, WC and sink, and adjoining garden shower. Its private verandah also boasts a hammock in which to laze under the fragrant frangipani flowers. The second air-conditioned and king-bedded bedroom enjoys views over the garden and swimming pool towards the rice fields, and has an en suite W.C. and shower. A third, fan-cooled king bedroom shares this bathroom with the second bedroom.

Gecko Villa is located about 20kms southeast of Udon Thani, near the northern shore of Nong Han lake near Gumphawapee, in Thailand's Northeast (generally referred to as Isaan, Isan, or Esan).

The house has a large air-conditioned Master Bedroom with a teak king sized bed, en- suite, WC, sink and adjoining garden shower. There are a further two bedrooms.

Living Room:
The large air-conditioned living and dining room offers satellite TV, DVD, CD player and sound system, and a selection of DVD films and books. Water hyacinth sofas and armchairs with comfortable cushions, as well as cotton futons, offer plenty of space to relax in comfort.
Kitchen:
The Villa has a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, microwave, hobs and oven. The kitchen is separated into a formal Western style kitchen and an open-air Thai kitchen, set off a spacious balcony. Barbecues can be arranged here.
Other:
Your own tranquil swimming pool is finished in hand-made tiles, in mottled hues of green from celadon to emerald. Sun loungers allow you to simply lie back and soak up the tropical sun.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service:
Maid, cleaning, gardening, pool cleaning and private cook to prepare all your meals. The property and grounds are serviced daily. We understand that you are on a well-earned vacation and we will do our best to make our house your Thai home.
Further Details:
We will be happy to show you how to cook Thai food, concocting sumptuous dishes you can later recreate at home. Try your hand at Isaan specialities such as spicy beef salad with mint (laap neua), and green papaya salad (som tam), or try traditional central Thai dishes such as spicy prawn soup (tom yam kung), grilled king prawns with chili, lime and coriander (kung pao). There is no charge for this!
Go walking (or take our bicycles) and explore the surroundings, rich in temples and villages, lakes and farms and the listed wetlands of Nong Harn. Participate in the giving of alms to monks, or enjoy a local "Puk Xieow" ceremony. Or fish at the large nearby lake and photograph original scenes and characters. Should you wish to visit the local school with your children, please do not hesitate to ask!
