The Thousand Islands is in the heart of the St. Lawrence River, running along the Canadian side of the border from Kingston to Brockville and from Cape Vincent to Morristown on the US side. The Canada/U.S. border runs down the middle of the islands and is clearly shown on all marine charts.
Set in a tranquil bay, bordered by the St. Lawrence Islands National Park, the newly restored 134-year-old hand adzed log cabin enjoys spectacular sunsets and views in all directions.

Bedroom(s):
Upstairs are 2 carpeted bedrooms finished in prime Western Red Cedar. Each bedroom has a very comfortable queen sized bed, topped with lighthouse throws. Tucked under the eaves, a captains bunk single also shares each bedroom.
For your convenience, there is a glass vessel sink and maple vanity in each room. With its pine cone motif, lined full-length curtains and colorful patchwork quilts charm and comfort is found upstairs as well down.

Living Room:
Enjoy the huge native granite fireplace, satellite TV, CD, telephone, stereo system, DVD, VCR, built in maple bookcase,and Island wide wireless internet access. Leather recliner and comfy couch with pillows and throws.
All windows are double glazed, maple finished and decorated with buckskin window dressings. Fox pelts hides, snowshoes and forged accessories on the hand-hewn log walls add to its rustic dicor. The floors are finished with oversized slate throughout the downstairs and carpeted for comfort upstairs.
The natural maple log and branch staircase is a work of art in itself. Dining at oak table with seating for 6 in front of picture window overlooking Blacksnake Passage. All windows have full water views.
Kitchen:
Electric range and oven with stainless Vent-a- hood commercial extractor, stainless refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, Bosch stainless extra quiet dish washer, microwave, trash compactor, reverse osmosis water filtration, coffee maker, cooking utensils, spices and dinnerware, toaster, front load washing machine and clothes dryer. Marinace Brazilian granite countertops and maple cabinets add to the cabins warm decor. Views of river from both windows and door.
Other:
There is a 9 x 24 foot fully enclosed screened-in porch with seating and a Victorian styled daybed with trundle bed. Step out of the kitchen, and enjoy the large deck with built in seating.
Down the stairs and along the flagstone path is the supersized, stainless steel barbecue and granite food prep counter. Under the pines are Adirondack chairs and a table for cocktails while river watching. Nowhere on the island are you without a full river view.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service:
Linens provided as well as towels, just bring your own beach towels or make arrangements with owner for these extras.

Within boating distance you can visit Fort Henry in Kingston where the Rideau Canal has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Once the British fort that protected Britain´s ships in the war of 1812, it is now Canada´s West Point. This area is rich in history and exciting activities such as a weekly military parade with long rifles and fife and drum.
On the US side of the border, Sackets Harbor Battlefield site of one of the most crucial battles in the War of 1812, provides a days outing as well.
At the French Festival, you can tour and enjoy tea in 2 local castles and picnic on island parks where children play on old fashioned playgrounds. Clayton, NY is famous for its antique wooden boat museum.
Restaurants with docks abound on both sides of the river for boating and dining, and boating only parks dot the islands for swimming, sand beaches and picnics.
Ontario is bounded on the north by Hudson Bay and James Bay, on the east by Quebec, on the west by Manitoba, and on the south by the U.S. states of Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York.
Ontario's long American border is formed almost entirely by lakes and rivers. While in the area, one can visit Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, Niagara Falls or NYC, Boston or Washington within a few hours to a day's drive. A rental car is required.
Further Booking Notes: Honey Bee Island is available for only 2 weeks per season (your choice of any one or two week rental) from mid June thru mid October. Once these two weeks are reserved, any subsequent bookings can only be made for the following year.
A security (breakage) deposit of $500 will be required to be paid with the final payment. This sum will be reimbursed within 1 week of your departure after a satisfactory final inspection of the property.
