Our home is full of charm and character and superb grounds with well established trees to shade you in the summer. The pool is waiting for you to enjoy during the lovely hot weather.
We currently have 3 en-suite bedrooms and a further bedroom with its own private bathroom. We can cater from honeymooners through to a family of up to six in one of our rooms. We can offer king size, double and twin beds if you prefer. All our bedrooms are elegant and comfortable. All our rooms offer tea and coffee making facilities.
Maison Famille is located in the department of Ariege. The Ariege is situated at the foothills of the Pyrenees and right next door is Andorra. Andorra is great for skiing and duty free shopping. Ariege is well known for being unspoiled. It is the least populated region of France.
The countryside in this area is famous for its trout fishing, water sports, walking, hiking, cycling and of course its winter sports. It also offers many towns steeped with history for sight seeing and local markets with an abundance of shops for your enjoyment. Whatever your pleasure you will not be short of things to do.
Bedroom(s):
Room 1: is a spacious en-suite double bedroom that has a king size bed. The bedroom has a sitting area that can also be used to accommodate further guests. The maximum occupancy for this room is a family of four. The room is at the top of the house and has a slopping sealing that adds character to the space. It has low window which gives you a view of the rear garden.
Room 2: is a large en-suite family room. It has a king size bed. This room will accommodate from two to six persons. The bedroom is on the top floor and spans the width of the house. It has two large sets of French doors overlooking the garden and pool at the rear of the house. It also has two windows over looking the front garden. You can take in the scenery and view the village of Durban-sur-Arize from this room.
Room 3: is is a large double or family room which contains a king size bed. Adjacent to the bedroom is a private shower room and toilet facilities. This room can accommodate from two to five persons. The bedroom has a lovely fireplace and a large window that over looks the rear garden. The beauty of this room is it can be interconnected with room 4 to cater for larger families.
Room 4: is a double room with en-suite bathroom. The room contains a king size bed and built in wardrobes. It has two large windows that over looks the front garden.

Bathroom(s):
Three bathrooms are en-suite all with a bath and shower. The fourth bathroom is adjacent to one of the bedrooms and is fitted with a power massage shower.
Living Room:
After your evening meal or after a hard days sight seeing why not relax in our comfortable sitting room. We have a small library of books for you to enjoy or you could choose from a variety of movies we hold on video and DVD.
There is a second room in which to relax that we refer to as the snug. If the evening is cool we will collect some wood from the log store and have a roaring fire. The snug is comfortable where you can sit and discuss the days events in front of the glowing flames.
Other:
We currently have an above ground swimming pool with sun bathing area. We have beds and chairs for your use should you decide to have a day by the pool. Please do not use your room towels around the pool, beach towels can be provided on request if you do not have your own. The pool is used at your own risk. All children must be supervised whilst using the pool. We cannot be held responsible for any accidents.
We have a vegetable patch that we use to grow our own produce to feed guests. We have a small orchard containing fruit and nut trees. We have an expanse of grass for sun bathing or playing. We have a variety of garden toys and play equipment for young and old. We have an area that is secure for parking cars and motorbikes or if you prefer we can place up to 4 motorbikes in our garage.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service:
Linen and towels provided and rooms are serviced daily.
Beach:
There are several man-made beaches that are ideal for children and slightly further away is the Mediterrean resort of Narbonne.
Further Details:
There are an abundance of natural, religious and pre-historic places of interest to visit. Toulouse, Carcassonne and Andorra are within easy reach for all your shopping needs. For sight seeing closer to home are Foix, St Giron and Ax Les Thermes.
There is something to do for all, walking, cycling, skiing, fishing, climbing, quad bikes, water sports, tree climbing, animal parks [all within easy reach by car].
