Plum Tree is one of four self catering cottages in Brittany that have been restored to provide modern conveniences whilst retaining all the charm of a typical French farmhouse.
Leaving in lots of the original features, like granite walls and exposed oak beams. Set in 2 acres of secure gardens with views over undulating farmland.
A perfect place for all the family to enjoy, children can play in the heated pool, while the parents relax under a tree with a good book and a glass of wine.
This charming 2 bed cottage has views over undulating farmland, and has granite walls and exposed oak beams. It is heated for the cooler months, so is ideal for that well earned family holiday at any time of the year.
The ground floor consists of an open plan lounge/ kitchen /dining area, so mum doesn't feel left out of the holiday and stuck in the kitchen.
Bedroom(s): The 1st floor has a shower room and 2 bedrooms, a large double bedroom and a bedroom with bunk beds both with granite walls and exposed oak beams. These have electric heating for the cooler months.

Bathroom: The shower room has a power shower, toilet, a vanity sink unit and a heated towel rail.
Living Room: The comfortable lounge area has a fireplace with a log burner, some granite walls and exposed oak beams. There is a CTV, DVD player and a hifi and comfortable seating for 4. The dining area seats 4.
Kitchen: The kitchen area is well fitted with a gas cooker, fridge, washing machine and a microwave, there is a door leading to a covered veranda and then onto the pool area.
Other: There is a separate patio with garden furniture, sun canopy and a BBQ.
There are two and a half acres of gardens with open views over undulating farmland. There is a private patio area for each cottage with garden furniture, seating, sun canopy and a BBQ.
There is also a communal patio area which has a brick built BBQ, the ideal place for parents to get to know one another, while the kids play. We have had many an enjoyable evening with a BBQ and a few drinks.
The heated above ground pool is made of teak to fit in with the surroundings in the orchard, it is 6x4 metres and 1.5 metres deep. The pool is open from May - September.
The gardens are the ideal place to relax by the pool, have a picnic under a tree, or just sit and read a good book while sipping a glass a wine.
There is a 14ft trampoline with safety nets, badminton, swings, boules pit, swing ball, football net, and basketball in the gardens, along with numerous games. In the covered veranda area there is table soccer, table tennis and a darts board and lots of other toys.
The gardens are large and safe enough for children to play, whilst we consider our accommodation to be child friendly, good parental supervision should be shown at all times.
For the comfort of our future guests, smoking is permitted in designated areas/outdoor areas only. Just down the lane there is an 18 km Patrimoine walk through lovely countryside.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: Rental weeks are from 4 pm Saturday to 10 am Saturday during peak, flexable at all other times. For the comfort of our future guests, smoking is permitted in outdoor areas only.
Included in the price: All bedding, towels (not pool/beach towels), a welcome pack (tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, homemade jam and a bottle of wine). For weekend breaks (a bottle of wine), for Xmas and New Year bookings (festive decorations, bottle of bubbly and luxury chocs). Gas and electric and a heating allowance in cooler months.
Beach: The Emerald coast is about an hours drive and has miles of sandy beaches and hidden coves.
Further Details: La Basse Rouerie is located in a small village called Melli, which is situated on the Brittany/ Normandy borders. Here you can spend days on the magnificent beaches known as the Emerald coast, visit walled towns or just walk through the lovely countryside, something for everyone.
We are about an hours drive from the port of St Malo; this is also an excellent place to visit, with a walled town and miles of sandy beaches.
Also within an hours drive you have Mont Saint Michel the 2nd most visited place in France after the Eiffel Tower. The large towns of Rennes, Dinan and Domfront are also worth a visit.
Half an hours drive will take you to the walled town of Fougeres with its chateau, and sandy beach in the forest. St Hilaire a lively market town and Mortain known for its water falls. Melli is also only 10 mins away from the American War Cemetery at St. James, the water park at St Martin de Landelles and trout fishing in St Georges du Rentembault.
So whatever the family want to do on holiday you will find it here, energetic or relaxing you choose its your holiday.
Further Booking Notes: A £150 security deposit is required per cottage, this will be refunded to you after you leave providing it has been left in a reasonable condition and there are no breakages.
If the cottage has not been left in a reasonable condition then £75 will be deducted to cover costs.
