Magnac laval is a busy market town of three thousand inhabitants, it is a picturesque town with the church of St Eglise dominating the skyline, there are all facilities you would need for your holiday there.
Six Café bars, two having restaurants and two sell cigarettes and one is a bookmakers.
There is a Eco-marche supermarket, two pharmacies and several hairdressers and two banks, and a small Market on a Thursday, there is also a post office and several bread shops.
In the summer there are loads of lovely walks around Magnac Laval, you can get a permit and go fishing in the local river (20 yards) from Sunset House or the local lake (1 km).
You can hire a bike from us and go for miles, take a picnic and spend the day on your bikes!
You can take a evening stroll and go to one of the local bars and have an evening drink.

Continental breakfasts are included in the room rates. Full English breakfasts, lunches, evening meals and Barbecues are optional.
** We charge a small fee to those guests who ask us to acquire for them particulars of appropriate properties from local agents. We will then arrange appointments to view.
Bedroom(s): All rooms have towels, information packs and a complementary bottle of wine, The rooms are serviced daily with fresh towels.
The Daisy Room (Sleeps 2): This may well be our most luxurious room. A huge king-size bed ensures a perfect night's sleep for you and your loved one. Fancy a shower? Then walk through to your own en-suite shower room and enjoy yourself in your own spacious facilities. You can watch British TV as you get ready.
The Dahlia Room (Sleeps 4): The Dahlia room is large, bright, west facing, beautifully decorated in warm terracotta.
It is ideal for a family because it sleeps four people in great comfort: two in a bunk bed and two more in a double bed. It could not be handier for the bathroom (which it shares with the lilac room, however you more often than enough have it to yourselves) which is immediately nextdoor.
The Lilac Room (Sleeps 2): The Lilac room is a bright, west facing good-sized room, a few steps form the shared bathroom. Its French style bed provides a romantic touch, as does its decor, which employs delicate shades of lilac.
The Sunflower Room (Sleeps 3): Imagine waking up in a bright and beautiful bedroom that is decorated with all the yellow gorgeousness of a sunflower. Then imagine leaping out of bed and looking out of the window at the green of Sunset House's grounds. There is no better way to start the day.
The Suite (Sleeps 6): You can have the two bedroomed suite with private bathroom. Outside the Dahlia and Lilac rooms is a small sitting room with a dresser, table and chairs and seats and a DVD player, and a television showing French or British channels. It is a fully self-contained, private suite comprising the two bedrooms, sitting room and bathroom. Ideal for the larger family.
The Lounge: Sunset House has a very comfortable and spacious lounge that is open 24 hours a day and that is reserved for the exclusive use of our guests. It is a great place to meet other guests or just to talk with your companions about everything that you've done and seen during the day.
Alternatively, settle down on one of the sumptuous sofas and watch a movie or catch up with your favorite British soap on Sky TV. If you prefer, bring along your own films, or ask to borrow some of ours and watch them on the DVD player.
Or, if you're visiting during the winter, snuggle up in front of the log burning stove and just warm your toes after your day's sightseeing.
If you choose to use the lounge we are happy to serve you drinks and snacks from 10:00 am till 10:00 pm. Just make yourself at home!
Other: Although Sunset House is within the town limits of Magnac Laval (and within just a few minutes walk of the town centre), we have more than an acre of grounds around the property. Every guest is welcome to enjoy both our gardens and four sun terraces. Again, we will be delighted to serve drinks and snacks at the sun terraces from 10.00am until 10.00pm.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: Maid service and evening meals included. All rooms have towels, and are serviced daily with fresh towels.
Further Details: During the summer, the days in Limousin are generally sunny and hot,and the evenings balmy and long. When all you want to do is relax, that is the time to enjoy our glorious swimming pool. Just lie back and sip a chilled white wine or an ice-cold beer on one of our sun-loungers. Then take a dip in the pool and order another!
As our guests you have unlimited access to our pool throughout daylight hours and late into the evening.
