Rental of 5 comfortable gites (from 2 to 8 persons) with bedrooms on the 1st floor. All gites have a fully equipped kitchen (corner), electrical heating, extra sofa-beds in the living-room, own bathroom with shower and toilet. The gites are in a restored farmhouse with a large garden and swimming pool. English spoken.
Les Messauts lies directly at the bank of the "Canal Lateral", a canal with many bridges and locks that runs from the Mediterranean sea (Canal du Midi) to near Bordeaux (canal latéral). In an area famous of its vineyards, chateaux, medieval towns, historic monuments, museums and beautiful gardens. A region of music and dance festivals, markets and brocantes.
An area for people who love peace with plenty of possibilities in the locality to play golf, cycle, go horse riding or walking, fishing, canoeing and swimming. One must of course visit one of its many vineyard to taste and buy wine. Some of the famous wine regions nearby: The Graves, Sauternais, Saint-Emilion, Pomerol, Entre Deux Mers, Première Côtes de Bordeaux, Côtes de Bergerac and Monbazillac.

Our large organized gites offer comfortable accommodations and modern facilities where you can relax and also enjoy the delightful and peaceful garden, where there is a pool (5 x 10 mtr) and lawns.
You have the choice of privacy or you can join the other guests and enjoy the garden and the shade of our fruit-trees. Afterwards of course you can cool down in the swimming pool whilst the children enjoy their own separate playground.
Or stretch your legs on the canal towpath directly besides the garden, where you can take a stroll, ride a bicycle or try your hand at fishing. We have a bike-rental. Also we have a key for the tennis court in Blaignac (1 km) available.
All in all, we hope you'll find everything within reach that you need for that perfect holiday.

At 4 km distance there is a harbour in the small town called Fontet where one can hire a boat or a canoe, swim and practice archery in summer. The village has a match museum and a 15th century church that is worth a visit.
Also at 4 km lies La Réole, a 1000 year old town on the right bank of the river Garonne. There is a signed walking-route to view the city, and one can take a boat-excursion on the river places to visit include the ancient monestery and the 4 museums (automobile, agriculture, military and railway).
Each Saturday there is a market on the quay where you can buy all the regional products and 'people watch' from a sunny riverside café bars.
