Situated amongst the Orange Groves and vineyards of the Valencia Region, Casa Martinique can be found just outside the delightful town of Monserrat. We are only 10 minutes from the A7 motorway and 25 minutes from Valencia airport.
We originally bought Casa Martinique 5 years ago, and moved here permanently in September 2005 when we decided to reform the annex and turn it into a fully self contained unit.
It now has 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, shower room and toilet. The apartment has it's own private patio area, with table and chairs, perfect for taking a shaded break under a beautiful palm tree. And of course, where better to have your breakfast, lunch and dinner than in the fresh air?
In between, take a dip in the pool and relax on a sun lounger on the terrace. Casa Martinique is set on a large 2000 m2 plot with orange, tangerine, lemon, olive, apple, pear, peach and Pomegranate trees (and more!) as well as our own grape Ivy's.
Although we are only 3 minutes from Monserrat (and all the local amenities you will need), we are still rural, so you will find your stay peaceful and quiet, a great place to chill out and relax, with facilities second to none. Whether you are house hunting, visiting for the America's Cup, visiting the New Valencia F1, or just looking for a relaxed, refreshing holiday, you can be sure of a wonderful welcome and a memorable stay at Casa Martinique.
Bedroom(s): Bedroom 1 consists of twin single beds, bedroom 2 has 1 single bed, plus there is a double bed settee in the loung.

Bathroom: The property has one bathroom which is fully tiled and has a walk in shower, sink and toilet.
Living Room: The living room has a large comfy settee for those all important siestas (which is also a bed settee), a TV (with UK television), DVD player and video recorder.
Kitchen: The kitchen facilities include fridge/freezer, microwave oven, 2 ring hob, (there is an oven in the paella/BBQ house), kettle, toaster, coffee machine and a dining table. The outside kitchen provides a washing machine (tumble dryer also available) and a second fridge/freezer.
Other: There are more tables, chairs and loungers dotted around Casa Martinique, perfect for that hour of solitude, whether it's under the thatched gazebo reading that favourite book, dozing in the sun, getting a good tan or generally giving yourself the R&R you deserve.
We also have a large paella/BBQ house at your disposal so you can, if you want have a lazy day at Casa Martinique and cook some flame grilled ribs. The Swimming Pool is tiled and filtered, and measures 8 x 4m, with an outdoor shower and is just beside the apartment. The pool has a safety fence surrounding it, which is ideal if you're bringing children.
The gardens and fruit trees are expansive, and make Casa Martinique tranquil and secluded, just what you need for that perfect break.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: Hand towels provided only, sheets changed weekly.
Beach: From Castellon down through Valencia and south to Benidorm, there are over 35 beaches from tranquil and peaceful to busy, busy, busy! Some of these include Sagunto, Pinedo, La Devesa, Cullera, San Antonio which are all within 1 hours drive of Casa Martinique.
Two notable beaches to visit are Malvarossa, which is in Valencia (restaurants, bars, plenty of parking, and can be accessed by the Metro), and El Saler, to the south of the City (more natural, big, wide beach with dunes and reportedly some of the best paella restaurants in the region).
Further Details: Being just 10 minutes from the A7 Motorway gives you an ideal location to get out and visit some of Spain's best kept secrets, as well as some well known favourites such as Barcelona, Benidorm, Calpe, Javea and Denia. There are places to visit, things to see and do, in fact, virtually anything you would want to do is available within easy reach of Valencia, and Casa Martinique.
What is ideal abut our location, is that although only 20 minutes from Valencia city centre, we are also just 30 minutes from the mountains of various ranges that enclose the region. Add to that, not just the A7 (Alicante-Barcelona) motorway, but also the A3 (Madrid-Valencia) motorway, the CV-35 and CV-50 local main highways, and daily Ferries to the Balearic Islands, you may have to take a month off to fit it all in!
