There is also a Folk Museum south of the Bab el-Okla where there is an amazing collection of Andalucian Jewish and Islamic embroidery and rooms displaying pictures and costumes.
You can find a reasonable beach town within 10 km from Tetouan called Martil. Martil has some wonderful waterfront cafes. There is no train station in Tetouan, only the bus station. Although a grand taxi can be a good mode of transport to get to Tangiers or Chefchaouen after a bit of haggling with the driver.
